"Hi there, we’re back and we are now going to feather the design on our Japanese fishing float using the pick. I have some stripes that go around the outside and now I’m just feathering them so that when we blow it out we will have a really beautiful interesting shape and interesting design as well. As we were saying before, this design that I just showed you how to do was made popular by Louis Comfort Tiffany in the 1930’s. So it’s kind of an art nouveau design. The next phase in making our Japanese fishing float is to blow a little bit of air into it which I will do right now just by adding a little bit of pressure into the pipe. The bubble once it reaches the bottom of the glow pipe inflates itself because the air inside of the blow pipe at that end is so hot that it instantly expands. I will go over to the glass blowing bench and sit down and blow out the shape which is just a round circle. "
