"Hi I’m Anna from annawillowglassdesign.30art.com and I’m going to show you how to make a blown glass float. These are traditionally used to hold up fishing floats in the Japanese fishing fleet and we used to find them all over the beach on the Pacific shore. The first thing to do when making anything out of glass is to gather some molten clear glass out of the furnace. The next step is to always add a little bit of color onto it. So I think I will make a pink one with yellow stripes. So I am putting the pink on two sides of the gather and then I will put the yellow onto the other sides and we will twist it up in an interesting way so that we can have sort of a Tiffany 1930’s feathered look.
