"I’m putting a little loop onto a blown glass Christmas ornament with molten hot glass. So once I’ve finished with the glass blown ornament I had to put it inside of the annealing so that it would cool down slowly overnight and that way it does not crack. Because if we put it out in the middle of the room at room temperature, the outside molecules of the glass would contract faster than the inside layer of molecules of the glass and therefore the whole entire thing would explode and that is why we put everything that we make once we are finished with it into the annealer to cool down slowly.
