"Hi. We're talking about glass foiling today and we're going to be making a sun catcher, but I'm giving you a break down of all of the tools. One of the handy tools that you're going to need in your work shop is a ruler. Now, this is not just any ordinary ruler. It has a cork backing on the back. Reason being is that when you go to place this on your glass, you don't want it sliding around, like see? It would slide very easy if I had it on that side, so the cork backing just gives it a really nice grip on your glass and you would line it up with a line like say, I needed about an inch wide strip for one of my pieces. You would line it up on here. Take your cutter; put it right up next to your ruler. Apply your pressure. Hold your ruler firmly in place and there you have yourself a nice straight line and when you get ready to break that, you'll be very pleased at the outcome. Very straight."
