"YOLANDA VANVEEN: Hi, this is Yolanda Vanveen on behalf of Expert Village. In this series, we're learning all about fall-blooming flower bulbs, and in this segment, we're talking about Princess Diana Canna. I love Princess Diana Canna because it's short, it's smaller. So if you have a small yard or you want to put it in a container, it's just perfect. It's a beautiful apricot color with green foliage, and it'll bloom summer through fall. And it's easy to grow. Just put it in full sun with good drainage and water it heavily when it's really hot outside. But it's one of those plants you really don't have to take care of if you don't want to and it'll still grow. And the bulb is, again, just a tuber. It's really easy to grow, and instead of going up or down, there's really no up or down. I go sideways 'cause the growth comes out of all the ends. So as long as you plant it about 3 or 3inches deep and you put it in a sunny spot, it'll do really well. And, again, because it's short, it doesn't get too big. So if you have a small garden or you want to put it in a container on the deck, you plant it in the spring or early summer and it'll bloom through the fall. It's just perfect for small yards. In the next segment, we'll talk about Canna Cleopatra."
