"Hi this is Susan Paxton for Expert Village and today we are talking about decorating with flowers. Now if you were going to have a party, especially teenagers love these but adults would have fun and small children would have fun with these too. This is a little soda glass only it is made out of fresh flowers. We take real straws and fresh flowers. In the base what I have done is I have taken some shred saran shred to add a little substance to the water and then I put food coloring in the water and add my carnations. White carnations work the best although I have done it with red carnations around the outside edge and white in the center or you could do it vice versa. You put the flowers in, add a little cherry on top and usually I glue this in but for this I am just going to set it in. Then you add a couple of straws. The little flex straws are the best because they add just the right angle and just the right effect to make it look like a soda fountain drink. It is nontoxic because it is just food coloring and the water but it makes for a really cute arrangement. It would be a really cute centerpiece to have three or four or five of those sitting on a table for a party along with your food or you can just put them at the table at each place setting and let each person take one home. They are very popular with the teenagers and the young kids. After the flowers die and you wash it you can actually use the glass."
