"On behalf of Expert Village, I?m Terry and today I?m going to show you how to use a welder. This particular welder is usually what we call an 045. So it's point 045 on the decimal system so this is an 045 wire. Depending on the application you can use 063. You can use 035. 035's is, it's much smaller. One thing that I didn't cover was the type of wire. This type of wire is shielded with the gas. You can also not use gas. You can use what they call flux core inner shield. What that is, it actually has flux inside the wire. Just like on a piece of Sauder. Off a roll Sauder. That once it's burned the flux covers up the well so it's no need for gas. That's better for outdoorees because you've always got winds. It might be calm one minute. You'll get a gust 3 or 4 minutes later could blow and winds will blow your gas. So maybe you'll use gas indoors and you'll only use flux core outdoors."
