"This is Vicki Walker for Expert Village. We are continuing to work on the top portion of our decorative runner. I have pinned the gimp trim just along the edge between the sections. We would be pinning the other section of gimp along these other seam lines also. But for now we are ready to sew the first line of gimp. I would sew right down the center of the trim. It seams to work better right down the center than trying to do lines on either side. Let me reinforce that edge just to make sure that my stitching does not come out and continue on to the center of the gimp. Right on top of the seam. Being careful not to sew over that pin; it would have broken my needle. This fabric is not too difficult to sew on, it is not too terribly bulky. But with some fabrics you might need to get a larger or a sturdy needle. A different number needle to sew through so you don't end up breaking a needle through the fabric. Check your sewing needle package to find one for sturdier fabric otherwise it becomes a problem. So that is how we sew the gimp and I would continue on to the same thing on the other 3 seams. "
