"The watering cases in terrarium can work wonders for you that want to grow certain types of orchids. You don't have a greenhouse, you don't want to go and build one but you want to grow those plants. And some of the species that are available to grow will do remarkably well in terraria or watering cases. The watering cases, the older form that come to us from the 1800s when people wanted to grow a number of plants and that was their answer to the fact that they didn't have a greenhouse. Today, the terrarium is the more modern version we can use things like a fish tank and just put a glass cover on it and you make a glass house for controlling humidity. One of the things you may want to grow in your terrarium along with the species orchids are those orchids whose foliage is that special structure you are looking for such as this ludisia which is grown for its remarkable colored foliage."
