"Let's talk about safety and instructions. If you have pets or small children, you should arrange to have them in another room or supervised by someone during the installation. The next step will be to read the instructions and cautions that come with your dimmer switch. One of the points it will include is to make sure that you have the power turned off. I will give you more details about turning the power off in a separate video clip. The instruction sheet will also have pictures that show what wires go where and what type of connectors to use. We will talk more about this topic later too. Another thing to remember is to always make a tight connection so the wires don't come loose when you push the dimmer switch back into the electrical box.
