"Here are some of the many types of dimmer switches that you will find at your local home center. The first one uses a slider and it uses wires to make the connections so the wire nuts are required. The next dimmer switch uses a toggle type switch for the on/off and has a slide on the side of it to change the brightness. It has screw terminals.
