" So we are back with the shoe molding demonstration. We have got all of our pieces cut and in place and fitted. You have got a compressor set up outside and if you are setting up a compressor at home you want the pressure to be between 90 and 110 PSI and there should be a knob on the compressor if you turn it to the left it will decrease the pressure, if you turn it to the right it will increase the pressure. So anywhere between 90 and 110 is a good amount of pressure to get through the shoe molding and into the baseboard to give it a sturdy hole. What we are using here is there is a standard finish nailer, it holds any size nail between 5/8 of an inch and two inches and you can see that just by opening this up, see, what we have, this is an inch and a quarter, which is a good length for shoe molding you do not anything too long, so we are using an inch and a quarter, this will take between 5/8 and two inch and also you need to check the gauge on your gun, this is 18 gauge, make sure that you get the right gauge nails or they would not fit, and they will just jam up your gun and you will have some problems. So once you have got the right sized nails, the right gun, the right pressure on your compressor, then you are all set to start nailing."
