"The plate joiner utilizes a small blade, rotating very very quickly inside this housing. Should there be a time when you need to replace it, it is very simple to do. However, first thing you need to unplug the tool. Make sure that it is completely off of electricity. You undo, on this particular model, you undo this little screw, and this little housing will open. Inside, you see the blade. It's almost like a regular blade on any table saw or something like this, with this little collar attached to it. By utilizing this special tool, you insert here, you undo it, you take the blade out, you put the new one in, and you re-tighten that. You've got to make sure that the direction of the teeth are the same as the position you took the blade off, otherwise you will be cutting backwards. You re-attach the base, you lower it down, you tighten up this button and you are ready to go."
