It is reckoned that in the Stone Age the first tools were born, and by extension, machines and technology. Though the basic principles behind altering physical matter haven't changed much, some amazing advances have been made in tool technology. For instance, with the advent of consumer power tools, mankind has the ability to increase productivity and complete more projects in less time.
In this free video, our expert Slawomir "Slawek" Hadziewicz will show you how to use and maintain a plate joiner. He will talk about safety, storage, wood biscuits, changing the blades, caring for the blades, adjusting the base, angling the base, doing angled joints, and doing flat joints. He'll even talk about how to handle a plate joiner so that you don't injure yourself or break this useful tool.
"We'll be talking about safety. Safety is a very very important thing in this particular tool. For one very simple reason. As you can see, there is a blade and that blade rotates very quickly. You want to make sure that at any given time you're working with a good tool. Always read and understand what the manufacturer requires of you in the instruction manual. Also very very important thing, at any given time, always wear safety glasses. It will protect you and it will help prevent any type of accident. As far as your clothing if you have a long sleeve shirt, make sure that it's button up. If you have any, in this particular case I have a microphone ,but if you have any hanging necklace or any type of pendent or something, you take it off. You don't want to be leaning over the working tool with this thing hanging. Inspect the tool thoroughly. Make sure there are no cracks on the housing, in the base, any types of missing parts . Make sure that the cords are properly attached and the tool is in working conditions in a dry run, it is called a dry run, as you can see there is moving parts here . Try to treat it as a mad dog because it will bite you if you're not paying attention. Thank you"
