"Hi, this is Steve for Expert Village.com Today we are going to talk about choosing an organic growing medium. There are several good mediums on the market today, different ones would be an all around potting mix, that's rich in all the beneficial ammendments from the sea as well as the land, whether it be fish meal, kelp meal, shrimp meal, bat guano's and bird guano's things of that nature. Along with that you've got different mixes you've got your planting which is just fortified with earthworm castings, and bat guano's. Whereas your ocean forest mix will have all the different sea ammendments as well as the bat guano's and earthworm castings. You also have another potting soil mix that is rich with micro- rye's and bacterial innoculants, like bee subtillits and things like that to help prevent mold and mildew of your plants. If you don't choose one of these mediums that is already fortified you can go with just a staight organics soilist mix, which has nothing in it and you can add your own ammendments to fortify it and get it to where you want it to be."
