"In this clip we're going to look at the different types of stain that you can use. The choices that you have in applying stain to your particular project. And you'll, hopefully, it'll give you information to help you choose which is going to be the best for you. Let's take a look. This is a gel stain, which will, we'll take a look at how that goes on. This is, this is an oil based product, so you'll have to use some sort of a solvent in order to clean up. Another oil based stain, this is a very popular brand of stain and this type of stain is the most common that you're going to find. This is what you'll probably be using for most of your wood projects. If, if odor is a problem, the same company also makes a water based stain, which is very useful if you have a difficulty with fumes. Or you just don't want to be worried about having to use solvents for your clean up. This is, this cleans up with water. And this is also a water based stain, and as you look at the label you can see it says there, " No need for a conditioner. Does not raise the woodgrain". We'll talk about that in a minute and why that's important. But this, you may find this to be a useful alternative to a oil based stain in your project. So, that's a basic overview, and remember, your project is going to be, very specific to what you need. So, as we go over these different products hopefully you'll see one that, that suites your needs. "
