"Hi! My name is Steven from Keilholz Flooring on behalf of Expertvillage.com. In this clip I am going to show you how to measure for ceramic layout for your floor. This is a little bit tricky so pay attention. The fist thing you are going to do is you are going to pull your measurement off of this wall. You are going to pull an overall measurement of the floor. You are going to find where the center of that mark is and then you are going to go over it by half an inch. In this case I am 6 foot so I am going to go with three foot. Now I am going to pull the measurement from this way, I am going to do the same thing, I am going to go three foot again. I am going to make my mark. What I am going to do now is I am going to measure the distance between those two. I have two and half, which means that my actual center here is an inch and a quarter. I am going to make a mark. I will now do the same thing on this side of the floor so that I can snap my line. Three inches, three inches, inch and a quarter. Now I want to go to go to this side of the floor and I want to do the very same thing all over again. Measure the overall distance, which is 4 foot 10. So I am going to make my measurement at 3 foot again. This time I am going to come up the other side and I am going to measure it 3 foot again and one more time I am going to measure the distance. In between I have 14 inches which means my center is 7 inches. Same thing again on the opposite side. 3 foot, 3 foot, measure make sure it is 14 inches. I am at 14 inches, 7 inches. No matter how crooked your room is. If you follow this procedure you will wind up exactly dead center in the middle of your room. "
