"Hi! This is Steven from Keilholz Flooring on behalf of Expertvillage.com and in this segment, I am going to show you how to apply a grout and talk about grout a little bit. There are three separate kinds of grout. There is a sandy grout, non-sandy grout and an acrylic grout. Acrylic grout comes already premixed and most of the time is what you will find in any fast food restaurant. Sandy grout is your typical floor grout and non-sandy grout would be the typical grout you use on a counter top in a bathroom type setting. Today I am going to be using acrylic grout. When spreading your grout you want to make sure to get your grout firmly into the tile. Pack the joints. Most acrylic grouts, you do not have to full spread the floor, you can simply pack the joint itself. If you are using a sandy grout or a non-sandy grout you would simply smear the grout all over the floor in a swirling type fashion until you had the floor done. After you get the grout on we are going to let the grout sit for 20-30 minutes. You do not want it to cure, you just want to be able to get it off. Try and take as much as the excess grout off for the tile as you can with the floor and it will make your cleanup job a lot easier. An important thing to remember about grouting the floor is to make sure you always try to go at a 45 degree angle across the grout joints. Now I have a floor that is ready to be cleaned up."
