Bonsai growing and care is an ancient Japanese art of cultivating special varieties of miniature trees. Bonsai trees can live to be hundreds of years old, and need very precise care to thrive. In these videos, a bonsai expert will show you the basics of picking out a bonsai and how to care for your first tree.

The bonsai pot has the analogy of freeing to a painting and that is that the bonsai pot provides a supporting role to the composition to the plant; in this case it provides a container to hold soil for the tree but we don’t want a garish or overpowering pot for a tree that takes away from the beauty of the bonsai tree itself.
