"Sometimes you might have to get up high in the space that you’re working in. so if you need to use a lean-to ladder that’s going to have to actually lean up against the wall, you’re going to want to protect the wall by taping these rags on the edges of these ladders. Go ahead and do that real quick, so they can see how that is. Make sure that you get it on there really good and tight so it creates this soft edge that when you do lean this up against the wall, you’re not creating any marks or scuffs or anything. And also, make sure that you’re really careful about your hands. It’s very easy, it’s real tempting to put your hands on the wall and you can create fingerprints. If you happen to do that, then just go ahead and wipe it gently, you’ll do just fine. A lot of the times I kind of have to use the back of my hand to push me off the wall as opposed to leaving fingerprints. Ok, it’s kind of important. And don’t be tempted to see if the glaze is dry yet by using your finger. It will dry, I guarantee you. Give it about- especially the glaze I was telling you about, the pre-mixed glaze- it will dry in about forty five minutes. And then you can back somewhere where it’s not so obvious in the middle of the wall and just kind of go ahead and do a little sample if you think you want to touch it and put on a second coat, it’ll be just fine. Also in prepping, you want to go ahead and put drop cloths on whole floor and the whole area where you’re going to be painting at. Very importantly, when you set up your space and all your materials, make sure you get a good drop cloth under all that as well. "
