" How are you doing? My name is Noah Richardson from Elliot Construction. In the second coat, I usually use a six-inch spackling knife. As you can see it’s more than the compound that’s on there already. That’s why you use a six inch, because you’re putting on more compound. You want to cover the white tape with the compound. You just take the compound, place it in the center like I said, and put it lightly over the tape. Like that. After you finish with it, you can take your hand and go over it one more time, the whole thing. Make sure it’s smoothed out, then you take your finger and you place it…Well I’m left handed, so I place my finger like this because you more pressure on this side of the spackling knife. You press it like this on the corner of the edge, and you just give it a little ___. Get off that side and same thing on the other side. Place your finger on it. Like that. Then you take the whole thing now, place your finger in the center because you’re getting both ends now, and you just light pull it like this. And that’s it for your second coat. "
