" How are you doing? My name is Noah Richardson from Elliot Construction. This is where the sheet rock joins together. It’s kind of like you’re sealing the deal with the rock right now. It’s only these spots that you use the tapes, like in the corners. In the corners you use the tape. When you finish off here you use the tape, go around all these corners, and make sure that they’re sealed. You just make sure that when you’re putting your compound it’s half and half of the sheet rock. Both sheet rocks so that when you’re ready now to put on your tape. If you look at your tape, it’s half and half for the sheet rock. You just place it on there right in the center. You don’t have to be perfect with it but it’s better off if you get it right directly in the center. Right in the center of the sheet rock. You want to pull half way of it first so that it won’t move. Get off all that compound to the sides, like half of this corner and half of this corner. Basically, this is the first coat. "
