Final Touches When Staining Furniture

"This next clip we're going to close and just show you the final product. Ok, I just want to go a little bit over everything we did and, first and foremost, when you're using the steel wool, now remember, steel wool it's going to give this, white wash, a little bit of a gray color, which we'll make it look really nice, I just wanted to show you that. You might not be going for that and want to keep that dark white. I like to like blend it in and like feather all the colors, so, whether it was too much white, it gets almost a grayish color. If you don't want that, just use the two twenty sandpaper. So, reiterating everything we did, this is our final product. Just remember, safety first. Wear a dusk mask, wear eyeglasses, gloves and put a protective tarp on your floor. This was a great find. Literally we did this for under one hundred and fifty bucks and my neighbor, no kidding, said he'd offer me four hundred bucks for it so I mean you know, that's not why I did it, I did it because it was for me, it was something I like doing. This is a great project for you and your family and look at it, it just came out great. So just remember all the little things that I talked about, most important, look at the edges, see how I bring out the wood, or the staining? All the edges, always where there are areas of common use, I try to beat up more, like on the edges here by the doors, where doors would open and stuff. We beat the heck out of it, we put a lot of marks in it and the more we did, it just gave it character. We took, pretty much, a piece of pine wood armoire, under one hundred bucks, we got everything. A hundred, hundred and twenty, I'm not really sure of the calculations but we turned it into something that's priceless that you and your family are always going to remember, you know why? Because you did it."
