Wash a Driveway with a Pressure Wash

"Hi my name is Mathew Christian from Tampa, Florida and on behalf of Expert Village, today I would like to talk to you about the proper use and maintenance of a pressure washer. Okay, now we are all set up to use our pressure washer. We have a driveway here that hasn't been cleaned in some time. It doesn't get full sun throughout the course of the day, so therefore a lot of mold has built up along the surfaces of the concrete. We are going to show you one of the uses of a pressure washer and that would be cleaning your driveway here. So we are all set up, I'm going to hit the switch here. So quite simply, just starting a section and working in a consistent pattern. You can see it does a pretty good job of cleaning off the concrete. Here's another X, you can even draw your name. You can see it does a pretty good job, likewise I could use the pressure washer to clean the side of my house, I could use it to wash my car. One area that is comes in handy when washing your car is the wheels. A lot of wheels today are pretty intricate in design. It's hard to get your hands into the spokes and various areas, so by using a pressure cleaner we sprays some cleaner on the wheel and use the pressure washer to do the work. Other than that it's pretty much how it works. Don't allow your pressure washer to run for an extended period of time without using the water. The reason is that the pump is pressurizing the water and also there's friction inside of the pump and it tends to build up heat. This heat can get in excess enough that it could damage your pump. So if you are not going to use it for an extended period of time, like a minute or so even though you have that unloader that recirculates the water. I suggest turning the pressure washer off. On a gas powered at least throttle it down to an idle if you are not going to use it for a few minutes. Because again not using it for a long period of time will over heat the pump and could potentially damage the pump or render it useless."
