How to Maintain & Care for a Pressure Washer Trigger

"Hi my name is Matthew Christian from Tampa, Florida and on behalf of Expert Village. Today we are going to talk about the proper use and maintenance of a pressure washer. This part of the wand assembly is called a trigger. This is what allows you to turn the water on and off. Again this is a industrial trigger, it is capable for withstanding psi up to four gallons per minute. It is made of plastic, it has metal parts and a valve so when you pull the trigger you're opening the valve allowing the water to go through. These triggers do wear out over time just like a valve in your kitchen, you know the kitchen sink the valve goes bad after a while and tend to drip. These triggers can do the same thing. When the trigger does start to go bad they start to cause problems with your machine though. As you recall we were talking about a unloader earlier. Well when the trigger leaks it trips the pressure washer or tricks the unloader to thinking that you are using the water and you are not using the water confuses the machine. The machine will have the tendency to jump in and out of the unloading stage it kind of blocks down and then comes back up and it will jump back and forth. When it starts to do that it is usually a good indication that you have a leak somewhere whether it would be in your trigger or somewhere in your house there or any of the connection on your houses. "
