"Hi! My name is Matthew Christian from Tampa, Florida and on behalf of Expe3rt Village, we are going to talk about the proper use of a hammer drill. Another feature you may find on some hammer drills is gear selection or speed selection. Though this drill has variable speed, there is also a gear selection for high speed and low speed operation. Right now we have it set in high gear which would give us very fast drilling possibilities or you could switch into a lower gear which would enable us to drill not so fast. Basically what it is doing is slowing down in which the drill turns and I don't know if you can see this on camera. That is slow and then second gear or high gear. "
