Video Transcript

"Hi! My name is Matthew Christian from Tampa, Florida and on behalf of Expert Village, today I would like to talk to you about the proper use and maintenance of a yard weed eater. Let's take a moment and talk about safety. Whether you are working with a hand tool or powered tool, it is always a good idea to practice good safety habits. What I mean by that we are going to be using a gas powered yard tool here in just a moment. It is a good idea to number 1, protect your ears. Here's a pair of ear plugs. You squash them and put them in your ears that will protect hearing from the loud motor. Also a pair of gloves. When you are using the machine for a period of time, you may callus your hands. Protect your hands with a good pair of gloves. Also since we are doing yard work and some dust and whatnot is going to be kicked up in the air, I suggest using a particle or dust mask and last but not least, a good pair of safety glasses. Again we are using a yard tool that is going to be throwing things around. You don't want a piece of debris to get in your eyes. Worst case scenario could potentially damage your eye or blind you. Get yourself a pair of safety glasses and wear them while you are using it as well. "
