"Hello! My name is Melissa Schenk and on behalf of Expert Village, today we're going to be talking about how to create a warm and inviting entryway for Christmas. In this clip, let's talk about lighting your entryway for when people come into your home during the holiday season. Lighting is important not only for the holiday season, but for all times of the year. This garland here doesn't necessarily light up, but we could have put lights on the garland, so that when people came in they saw some garland that was lit. The biggest part is to have good lighting for when people come in. Again, not only during the holiday season, but all times of the year. You want to have great lighting. Not only do you have to have your Christmas tree with Christmas lights on it, but you can have lights as I mentioned, either on the garland or on a tree coming in as people come into your home. In an earlier segment, we were talking about lighting outside of your home, making your home feel welcoming first on the outside and then towards the inside. You want that sense of welcoming to flow from the outside to the inside. Lighting does play a key element in that. You might even have candles lit for when people come in. That too will play into our earlier clip on how your home smells, but not only how it looks, how it smells, but also now how its lit. "
