"O.k, I've got some old fence boards here, I've got two here to show you, but you're probably going to need up to four or five by the time we finish cutting all of this stuff up. You're going to have a lot of waste with this wood because it's old, it's not straight, it's full of knots and imperfections. So, a lot of times you're going to have to cut a board up quite a bit, in order to get the pieces that you want. I have two pieces here, the first thing we want to do is get a couple of pieces fairly long, maybe four or five feet, and as close to the same width and thickness as possible. Their not going to be exact but this is old stuff. And, we're going to cut these up according to our dimensions for the lamp that I showed you a little while ago. I want to tell you a couple of things about cutting this stuff, and I'll show you that at the table saw when we get there in just a minute."
