"Today we're going to talk about how to raise the chi in your home using Feng Shui. Chi is the Chinese word for energy, and feng shui is a way to make sure the energy is flowing correctly in your home. You may need to raise the chi, or you may need to block the chi. it's sort of like acupuncture for your home, so the feng shui cures that we use are like the needles, if you will. We need to know where to place them to get the energy moving in a flow through the home so that it also supports your life, and what you would like. So, let's show you some examples of how to raise the chi in your home. I'm here at my friends' home, and this is Michelle, her husband Jason, and their daughter McKenna. Michelle actually moved in here first, before anybody else. She lived here with a roommate. I'm going to have her talk a little bit about what it was like when she first lived here. Well, I've been here for four years, and I lived here two years before Jason moved in, and I was totally in career mode, and this is my first place. I moved to Los Angeles, so it was kind of special to me. Then we got married so that definitely added a new element to the living situation here. A year after that she arrived, so it's just been a lot of new things happening. A lot of change. Now I'm staying at home with her so it's a lot different than being single and working, lots of new things to take into account. And being home, it's really important to have your environment be conducive to your life, a place where you really want to be, and that you like the environment. So Jason, what was it like for you when you moved here, and Michelle was already here? It was kind of a mess. She hadn't really organized a lot of stuff. She hadn't really decorated much, and the TV was very small. That was bad. I came in, and kind of imposed some order on things, and just kind of helped structure things so we knew where things were. Then McKenna came along, and it went back to chaos and disorder. Yes, so here I am. We're going to talk about what it's like to have a home where there are many different people, and all their energies are mixing, and all their things are here, and how to streamline that and raise the chi in the home."
