"HI I'm Kelley Johnson with "K Nicole Redesign" for Expert Village. So a western room is a great theme to have for a bedroom if you really enjoy the outdoors. Perhaps you enjoy nature and horses. In this example we have a 5 year old boy who really loves horses so we're really going to play up the cowboy theme add a little bit of horses with the artwork and a little bit of the western flavor but we also wanted to keep in style with the rest of the home. The rest of the home has a really tailored look. The approach that we took with this western bedroom is very tailored and classic. So a tailored look has very clean lines, very crisp, as opposed to a more rustic western bedroom which will have your rough edges to the wood finishes. The color scheme may be a little more greens and browns with a rustic western theme. With a tailored western theme, we're using very traditional boy colors, red and blue that are very classic. "
