"If something to this effect happens when you pull out the side trim or the top trim- sometimes the sheet rock will come off with it- you just want to clean everything up behind it, push it back in so you don’t take more of it off, and you’re going to cut it right here and square it up. Cut off the back side of the paper. Square it up…and then you want to square up the end of the sheet rock where it’s all split apart. I’m cutting both sides of the paper and just snap it back. Cut this side. And then you’re going to reinstall it into the wall along the same point, probably just line it up to where it was. Tap it lightly into the wall. Just tap back all the pieces. And then you’re going to tape and float over it before you put the trim back on. "
