"Hi! My name is Leslie Moselle and I'm from Tampa, Florida, and on behalf of Expert Village, this is how to make a bed. Our next step in making our bed is to put on a heavy blanket. This is completely optional, but depending on what the weather is like, especially in those cold winter days, you can use a heavier blanket in between your comforter and your flat sheet. After you've already put on your flat sheet like we've done here, you can throw on a nice blanket. The best thing about heavy blankets is because not everyone wants to use their decorative comforters to sleep with. Those are mostly just for looks. A lot people do use them. A nice way to keep your comforter in good condition and you don't have to wash them all the time, you could fold down your comforter and you have a nice warm blanket to sleep with. Plus, your flat sheet, which is a really great way just to take good care of your bed. It's simply just laying it over. You don't have to tuck it in the sides like we did with the flat sheets, but if you want, you can also tuck those in just like we did before. It's simple as that. Just laying it over your bed and you've got your heavy blanket."
