"Hi! This is Jon on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip I will be showing you how to secure a sliding door. There are three main ways to secure a sliding door. The first one is to make sure that your lock is working properly. If it's not, you need to get that fixed. Secondly if you don't have a sliding screen door, I would recommend getting one. These screen doors have locks on them as well. That's another added security. In addition, you want to make sure that that lock is working properly. The last technique for securing a sliding door is to measure the opening that the door will slide. Our opening is 27 inches and mark and cut a piece of scrap wood to our measurement. Lastly go ahead and test out that board. "
