How to Identify Problems with your House Siding

"Hi this is Jon on behalf of Expert Village in this video clip I will be talking about identifying rotten siding and other problem areas. The first indication that our siding has become rotten are these black areas that started to appear that couldn't be washed away. If you take a look at our singing you would notice that there is pits all the way up our sheet of siding this was another indication that our siding was begin to rot. When testing for rotting siding you want to take a screw and go ahead and poke your siding, if it does not penetrate through your siding then your siding is alright. Now to test the side that we are going to replace you would notice that the screw goes all the way in, in the siding and it is really mushy. Another problem is located behind this board if we look behind it we could tell that the siding has obviously rotted and someone just put a board in front of to cover it up. "
