Summary: Troubleshoot problems with an electric trimmer, checking the connection between the trigger chord and extension chord and making sure the extension chord is plugged in right in this free landscaping video.
"Hi, this is Jon on behalf of Expert Village in this video clip I'll be talking about troubleshooting your electric trimmer. If when squeezing the trigger your trimmer does not turn on the first thing you want to do is check the connection point between the trigger cord and your extension cord. You just want to make sure that connection is good and secured. Next you want to make sure that the extension cord is securely plugged into the wall and lastly you just want to check your cords for any cracks or break in the cord itself. Now if the line doesn't feed when you tap your trimmer down there is a few possible reasons why it's not working right. The first possible cause is that all of the line on the spool has been used up and you need to either reline it or replace the spool. Secondly the line may have retracted back into the spool on this trimmer since I can see the line I know that it has not retracted back into the spool. Or lastly the line might be caught or tangled inside the spool which will cause it not to feed properly and to fix this we will have to take it apart and see if maybe if we twisted that line somewhere in the spool."
