"In this video clip we'll be talking about using extension chords. First off you want to make sure that you have the correct size of extension chord and you're going to want to reference the users manual that came with your trimmer. Just so that there is no chance of voltage drop of overheating of the tool. First off you need to plug in the extension chord to the tool and make sure that larger prong goes into the larger hole on the extension chord, and you're going to want to make sure that you get that in there securely. Next you want to make a loop in the extension chord and feed it through the bottom of the tool housing, after that you're going to want to pull that loop tight around that molded chord hitch on the tool. Once you got that hooked on there go ahead and give it a tug and make sure that it is secure. Now if you are using an extension chord of a larger gage and it doesn't fit through that tool housing what you can do is take both chords and tie a knot with both chords before plugging it in. Then you can give it a tug and that is going to keep it from pulling apart while using the trimmer."
