"Hi, this is Jon on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip I'll be answering the question what can a block plane do. The block plane is great for removing any mill marks after you've run your piece through the saw, go ahead and take your block plane over it with a few passes. It's going to leave you with a nice smooth finish if you have a real small piece of stock that you need plane you can clamp your block plane upside down in the vice. Then you can run through your pieces on your block plane. Now if you have an edge that needs either a bevel or a radius you can take your block plane and sit it at an angle and make a few passes. Again if you want that radius you have to make several passes turning the block plane each time. "
