"Hi! My name is Joshua Lindsey with CFM Building Science Solutions. On behalf of Expert Village, we are doing a frame walk and insulation inspection on this home. The next one that we are going to cover on this list is going to be the air barrier and all band joist. We've already started covering that with this set here in the garage. We are talking about the air barrier up there that is going to keep our blown in insulation from falling into an area that we don't want to insulate. So we are going to move over here to the other side of the house and cover another area that is also a problem in that. You can see we would blow this whole attic in right here and nothing to keep our insulation from just falling out onto the porch. So we need an air barrier on the outside of that; right on the outside of that truss. If we stuck an air barrier up right there, it could be plywood, could be drywall, could be anything cheap. Anything could go right up there on that truss and it is going to keep our insulation from falling out on the porch. That is what we are looking for in all the areas of this home. In any areas of any home where you are not insulating the porch, you are not insulating the garage but you are insulating the house and you want to think about. "
