Decorative Plates for the Dining Room

"My name is Judy Williams representing expertvillage.com, and today we are talking about different ways to decorate your dining room. On this wall you will see that it is a more narrow opening. If you look at the shape it is a rectangle. So what I have done is picked up something that is more vertical in shape. I used two plate holders, and I couldn't find the two that would have gone over the shade that I wanted, so I picked up bronze and spray painted them and a little amber to add some depth. This platter it is just a old platter that I picked up at a auction and again it has those curves to it. But, it is mounted horizontally within the vertical plate holder. Up here I have a collectors item that is round so it's repeating the shapes again with the gold. You have gray tone in the middle which picks ups some of the silver. Of course this is mounted in a vertical plate holder."
