"In this video clip I’ll be talking about variable speed trigger switch. This tool has a variable speed trigger switch, which means that if I push this trigger switch in just a little bit, it’s going to screw in or it’s going to turn very slowly; if I pull it all the way, it’s going to go really fast. So as I squeeze this gently, I can see that it’s going slowly, and if I pull in all the way then it goes really fast. I also wanted to make note of the forward and reverse function; most of the time you’ll be going forward with your drill, but sometimes you’ll have to pull screws out and you’ll go in reverse. The forward and reverse switch is located right here, so if I go ahead and squeeze my trigger, I’ll notice that my drill is turning counter clockwise or in reverse, so it’s going to take my screw out. If I push that in and then squeeze the trigger, then it’s going to go clockwise, and it’s going to go ahead and put the screw in."
