Video Transcript

"In this video clip I’ll be talking about chucks. The chuck is located at the tip of the drill or the screwdriver, and this is where our bit is going to slide into it. With a keyless chuck it doesn’t require any special tools to loosen this up to get this bit out. There’s two ways that we can get it out: one is just to rotate the chuck in a counterclockwise fashion and then just go ahead and pull our bit out; the other way to get the bit out or loose the chuck is to pull our tool in reverse, hold on to the chuck with one hand, and gently squeeze the trigger… and this will loosen up the chuck so that you can pull the bit out. To put a bit in, we’re going to follow the same fashion; and you could either tighten it by hand going in a clockwise fashion, or you can put it in the forward motion and hold on to it and squeeze gently until it locks."
