"Hi this is Jon on behalf of Expert Village in this video clip we will be talking about setting up for safety. When planning a room for baby there's a lot of different safety considerations that you need to think about. First off we have our crib placed in the corner that is away from the window. The reason that you have it away from a window is that a child can get sick a lot easier from the draft a window might have. We have also decided to put up curtains instead of the mini blinds another safety fracture is that the cords on the mini blinds could cause a choking hazard for a small child. You always want to make sure that you have a smoke detector installed in every room of your house. You'll also notice that we don't have anything hanging about our crib, so we decided not to put any pictures, or any thing of that sort of there cause it could potentially fall. And lastly we will be installing these child safety outlet covers onto all the outlets and this will really help prevent any small child from sticking his or her fingers into the outlets."
