Video Transcript

"Hi, This is Jon and in this clip we'll be shutting off the power. Now, before starting any type of electrical work, you want to make sure that you've turned the power off at the circuit panel. Now, if you have selected the right circuit to shut off, when you flip the switch to that light, it should not light up the light. The next thing that we need to do is use some type of a circuit tester device just to verify that there is no electricity going anywhere near our fixture. Now that we are certain that there is absolutely no power going to our fixture, we're ready to go ahead and disassemble our old fixture."
