"Hi, this is Jon on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip we'll be calculating square inches. Once in a while we'll run into the scenario where you have to calculate square inches. Here for a counter covering I was required to come up with the square inch measurement for this particular counter top. Now there is a couple of different ways to do this the first way which is the easiest is just to take your length and width measurements in inches so here I have 24 1/2" X 24". When I plug in those numbers I come up with a total of 588 square inches, if for some reason I'm given a measurement in square feet and needs to be in square inches all we need to do is take our measurement multiply it by 144 and that will give us our square inch measurement. Here we would have 28,800 square inches."
