Video Transcript

"Hi! This is Jon on behalf of expertvillage.com. In this video clip, I will be taking you through the procedure for cleaning your metal shear. The first thing to do when cleaning your metal shear is to remove all of the materials from the out feed bend. If too much gets in here, it can back up and go into the blade. Next you can take a foxtail and remove any of the debris that has collected on the machine. On the hand operated shear, the main part that you want to clean is the cutting blade. If little pieces of metal get caught in there, it can cause a crooked cut or bad cut. On the squaring shear, you can take a foxtail and clean off the bed of that as well. Lastly you always want to clean the floor where you are working at. "
