Video Transcript

"In this video clip I’ll be showing you pocket cutting. The first step to pocket cutting is to get your stock measure and mark exactly where you want your pocket or your hole to be cut at. Since the pocket cut takes place in the middle of a piece of wood, it will be a little more difficult. What we’re going to do is take our reciprocating saw with our blade, and we’re going to rest it on the shoe, we’re going to squeeze the trigger until it reaches maximum speed, and then we’re going to tip it down until it starts cutting along our line. Once we’ve made our cut all the way through, you can go ahead and tip the saw blade up and make a straight cut."
