"Hi, this is Jon on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip I'll be taking you through our pre-operation procedures. Before we operate our tool we need to first make sure that there is a battery installed in our tool and that the battery is fully charged. The next thing that you want to do is just check over your tool, make sure that everything seems to be functioning properly from a visual inspection. This is just going to prevent any injuries or any damages. Let's say there was a sharp object stuck into our level and we're running it along a wall, then we're going to put a big gouge in the wall. Now before we begin operation what we need to do is calibrate or stud finder. To do that we're going to go ahead and turn it on by pressing in that button and waiting for about 1 to 3 seconds. When you do this you want to make sure that the stud finder is not sitting directly on top of a stud, otherwise it won't work properly. You'll need to move it to a new location. Every tool is different but with this one once this indication appears it tells me that the stud finder is properly calibrated and we're ready to start moving it along the wall trying to find a stud."
