How to Lay Out a Second Wall in your Garage

"Hi! This is John on behalf of Expert Village. In this video clip, I will be showing you how to lay out your second wall. Laying out our second wall will be very similar to our fist wall. Our second wall is going up against this block and it is going to butt up against the wall that we just made over here. When we measure for our second wall, we are going to run that tape measure right up against our first wall and that is where we are going to take our measurement from. Now when framing up our second wall, we are going to run into this beam here and what we are going to do is make a couple of different sections of wall. Our first section is going to end at the beam and the next section is going to be a little bit shorter and it will start underneath the beam and go the other way. I’ve laid out my wall the same way by putting a board at each end and then marking 16 inches from the end and putting an x and then I went ahead and put my 2 x 4’s in the approximate place of where they are going to go. "
