"Hi! This is John on behalf of Expert Village in this video clip I will be show you how to install our seat board. I want my shelfs to be 24 inches in depth so I'm going to cut my OSB to 24 inches. Next I'm going to spread my frame here and I'm going to stick my OSB in there. Get my frame position in place and I'm going to tip down my OSB and I have the start of my shelving unit. Once you get it positioned go ahead and put a couple of deck screws in just to hold it in place. Continue this with the rest of your shelving. Once you have installed the rest of those seat boards our shelving unit is complete."

on 1/1/2009 Thank you for posting this series. I used it to build a set of my own garage shelves. The building took about 5 hours by myself and the prep another 5 hours. It only cost me $90 in used/reclaimed lumber for an 8 ft wide 2 ft deep section and a 6 ft wide 18 inch deep section. Each section had four shelves about 21 inches between.
Adding the 6 ft section onto the corner was easy and totally self explanatory once I got the larger section up. They are super heavy duty. I used plywood for the seat boards. On one end I added a peg board "door" on hinges with a latch for easy assess to the side of the shelves if needed.
I've never done a project like this and is was very easy with your instructions. I am amazed at how well built and sturdy they are.
